Sick // Job Interview

Man, I missed like a week of work because of my back injury, and now I'm off for another week because I'm sick. I have a covid test lined up for Friday, but I don't think that's it.

I've always been the type to get SUPER sick, instead of just having a cold. It always goes straight into sinus infection territory for me. orz

I also have a job interview this Friday that i'm pretty excited about! It'll be for the local Catholic school board. I've worked for school boards before, and over the summer the one I worked at got dragged by our province's government and the top guy was fired for child abuse, corruption, and anti-blackness cases. This board isn't much better unfortunately, and there's also homophobia to boot. Yay! \ o / i have no confidence that i'll be able to keep my mouth shut either, but they pay a bit more than where I'm at right now and have better hours.


A smaller school board also contacted me, and the pay was about $30/hour which is ridiculous. T T but i can't drive so it's probably out.

I hope I do well with this one though! It would help me a lot in the future, especially since I want kids in the next few years.

i'm sorry to hear about your back injury! :x pain is miserable, ugh. i empathize heartily with frustration over sinus infections; i get them 2-3 times a year and i feel like i spend a month trying to shake them. i hope your covid test also comes back negative!! health stuff is always a real joy to deal with and it sounds like you have a triple threat to worry about haha.
