over the break
Jan. 2nd, 2019 04:16 pmI was expecting to have more free time over the break to get online, but every day has been spent either at my boyfriend's house or celebrating something with my family (and dragging him along).
This year though I really hope to start taking more time for myself. I realize now that I've sacrificed a lot of my personal interests and hobbies by dating my boyfriend, and have really neglected a lot of things that made me happy.
Not to say that it's his fault or that he's in any way caused this, but I was super content to literally just lay around with him (honest to god doing absolutely nothing sometimes). Because of that I haven't gone to the gym, watched any shows ... nothing. And I miss being online more, streaming shows with my friends, etc. It's so wild how what they say about new relationships is true? We've both even gained those stereotypical 15lbs too smh
As lame as it sounds, I think i'm going to make my 'resolution' to take more time for myself
on top of losing those extra pounds, of course ><
Hope you're all having a good start to the new year! And a happy 2019!! ♥

Date: 2019-01-03 01:23 am (UTC)Me and my husband, when we first met-- we were like joined at the hip-- now that we are married, we are taking more time to ourselves, we definitely have things that we watch together, but I have been starting to get into the swing of journalling again, and doing more creative things.. and even spending time playing more video games, and he has his own games.
It's always important to be a couple, but not to turn into the relationship borg!
