 we officially got our inspection date for next week! i'm so excited but also totally nervous. condos, especially in toronto, are usually super tiny so i'm kind of nervous that it will be too small of a space to really give us a nice living condition. 

i'm also kind of nervous about the mortgage and having to be locked into a debt like that for like 30 years (seriously, wtf?). part of me keeps thinking we should have just bought a house further north when we still had the chance, or that we should have left the province altogether ... but i have to keep reminding myself that everything happens for a reason.

we're trying to get people to come in and see the place we're currently living at so we can pass off the rent onto someone else but that's proving to be a little difficult, too. a lot of people are seriously super flakey haha.

oh well! overall, it's still very exciting! i hope we can move in properly, after we paint and everything.

LOL God no, its not worth it at all. I found out apparently houses in *Orillia* are going for 900,000+? And its not that great of a place, man (i did college there). We were really thinking of switching provinces because of all this bs and just didn’t do it lol. I saw someone say in Saskatchewan’s small towns their mortgage was $200/mo but … its also small town Saskatchewan so. 👀

Hahaha, yup, Ontarian born and raised. ^_^ No worries; the North American Internet Experience is so U.S.-centric that I usually default to thinking everyone is american too, even though I know better.

And it's funny you mention Orillia, I'm irrationally angry at the housing market in Orillia because there was an opening there for basically my dream job not too long ago, but it just didn't pay enough to move (i.e., to leave my essentially rent-controlled current apartment), so I didn't even apply for it, and that broke my heart a little :P So yeah, screw Orillia housing.

I mean, I considered moving back to my old home town, where my parents still live, and even there has tripled in cost. The only places that are still affordable are the places where there's nothing to do and no job prospects (...so, small town Saskatchewan, basically)

...you can tell this is a bit of a hot button for me at the moment, no? ;)
